Ingredients
For the Roasted Garlic Butter Spread:
- 1 whole head of garlic (peeled cloves)
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- ½ tsp fine sea salt or black pepper
For the Flatbread & Topping:
- 1 store-bought flatbread, naan, or pre-made pizza dough
- 1 ½ cups low-moisture shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1–2 tbsp hot honey (or regular honey mixed with a pinch of chili flakes)
Instructions
- Quick-Confid Garlic (5 mins):
- Add peeled garlic cloves and olive oil to a small oven-safe skillet or small saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Simmer gently for 4–5 minutes until the cloves turn soft and light golden-brown. Drain the cloves (save the infused oil for future cooking!).
- Make the Garlic Butter:
- In a bowl, mash the soft roasted garlic cloves into the softened butter.
- Stir in the chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, red pepper flakes, and salt until smooth and creamy.
- Assemble:
- Place your flatbread or stretched dough onto a sheet of parchment paper.
- Spread a generous layer of the garlic butter mixture evenly across the surface.
- Top with a thick layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake:
- Bake in a preheated oven at 450°F (230°C) for 6–8 minutes (or until the cheese is completely melted, bubbly, and golden-brown on top).
- Finish & Serve:
- Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle hot honey over the bubbling cheese.
- Sprinkle with extra red pepper flakes if desired. Slice into strips and enjoy the ultimate cheese pull!
